Our Journey

Since 2018, TIKI BIKE EN VALLOUISE has been fostering a vibrant cycling community in Vallouise. We organize diverse programs, coordinate rides, and promote sustainable, inclusive cycling practices. Our mission is to enhance well-being and social bonds through engaging cycling activities for all ages and skill levels.

Tiki Bike en Vallouise, the heart of cycling culture in the Pelvoux-Vallouise valley. Since our inception on March 15, 2012, we have operated as a dedicated non-profit association (RNA: W051001629) with a singular passion: to share the joy, freedom, and challenge of cycling with everyone who visits our majestic corner of the Hautes-Alpes.

Based at the Place de l’Église, we serve as a hub for locals and visitors who believe that the best way to experience the Écrins National Park is on two wheels.

Our Identity & Mission

Mission Statement

To promote, develop, and organize cycling in all its forms, across all terrains, for all audiences. At Tiki Bike, we believe cycling is more than just a sport; it is a tool for health, a medium for environmental appreciation, and a bridge for community connection. Our mission is to lower the barriers to entry for cycling, ensuring that whether you are a professional athlete or a child taking your first pedal strokes, you have the support, community, and infrastructure to succeed.

Our Vision

We envision a Vallouise-Pelvoux where cycling is integrated into the fabric of daily life and tourism. Our goal is to be the primary catalyst for sustainable outdoor recreation in the region, fostering a world-class cycling destination that respects the alpine ecosystem and promotes physical well-being for generations to come.

Core Values: The Gears That Drive Us

Our organization is built on four primary pillars that guide every decision we make, from the events we host to the trails we advocate for:

  1. Inclusivity (Le Vélo pour Tous): Age, ability, and background should never be a barrier. We organize activities tailored to diverse skill levels, ensuring “all publics” can participate.

  2. Stewardship of the Land: Operating in the shadow of the Écrins, we are fierce protectors of our environment. We promote “Leave No Trace” riding and advocate for sustainable trail use.

  3. Community Spirit: As an association, we are a family. We thrive on the collective energy of our members, volunteers, and salaried staff who work together to make the valley a better place to ride.

  4. Excellence & Safety: We adhere to the National Collective Agreement for Sport (CCNS) standards. We prioritize safety and professional guidance in every club activity we organize.

What We Do: Our Activities & Impact

Tiki Bike en Vallouise isn’t just a club; it’s an ecosystem for cyclists. Our activities are designed to cover the full spectrum of the sport:

1. Youth Development & Sports Clubs

As registered under Code NAF 93.12Z, our core focus is sports club management. We provide structured training for young riders, teaching them technical mountain biking (VTT) skills, road safety, and the mechanics of their bikes.

2. Event Organization

From local rallies to community rides, we bring people together. We organize events that highlight the unique topography of Vallouise-Pelvoux, attracting cycling enthusiasts from across France and beyond to boost the local economy and spirit.

3. Advocacy & Infrastructure

We work closely with the Office de Tourisme and local authorities to ensure that cycling infrastructure is maintained, signposted, and safe. We represent the voice of the cyclist in local planning.

4. Promotion of Eco-Mobility

We advocate for the bicycle as a primary mode of transport within the valley, helping to reduce the carbon footprint of our community and encouraging a slower, more intentional way of experiencing the mountains.

Why Our Non-Profit Status Matters

Tiki Bike en Vallouise is a non-profit association (Loi 1901). This means that every Euro generated through memberships, sponsorships, or activities is reinvested directly into the association to improve equipment, maintain trails, and provide high-quality training for our members.

By choosing to ride with us or support us, you are contributing directly to the vitality of the Vallouise-Pelvoux community.
